Dear Maintainer,

Every time I hit fn-F4 (to switch displays) or connect/disconnect my HP 6910p Laptop to the docking station, the internal display goes entirely blank. This applies both to X and the other VTs. However, as long as I hold down fn-F4, I can see the faint image of my desktop.

Otherwise, nothing locks up, I can still login from ssh or just type blindly, I tried invoking `xrandr --auto', but that does not help either.

I never used the fn-F4 much, but docking and undocking did not cause such problems in the past. As I do not use my laptop very frequently, I can't tell exactly when this problem first appeared.

Any fixes for this would be greatly appreciated.
