Dear Maintainer,

The display manager started correctly, then the window manager too, but
when opening a window, screen went black then now, there is only a white
screen and a mouse cursor that I can move.

This time, there was no kernel panic so I could use VT to reportbug.

What can I do to help ?

Hi, guys

I have this problem as well which is very painful. The whole X simply
freezes. Sometimes it ends up with black screen. Sometimes it ends up
with gray or pink stripe screen. After the crash, the rest of the system
is still working. I can ssh into it.

You can find the radeon kernel lockup message in the attachment
"gpu.lockup" and the drm initialization message in "dmesg.log".

This is the related packages I installed on my sid box. I tried
linux-image-3.1.x kernel from experimental, the problem is still there.

linux-image-3.0.0-2-686-pae 3.0.0-5
xserver-xorg-video-radeon 1:6.14.2-2
xserver-xorg-core 2:1.11.1.901-2

The hardware I have:
hj:~# lspci|grep VGA
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc M93 [Mobility
Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series]

Free free to let me know if any further information is needed.
