Strangely this problem appeared when I installed and used the "BSM
Simple"-theme (http://gnome-
look.org/content/show.php/BSM+Simple?content=121685) - this theme uses
clearlooks - although I used the preinstalled clearlooks before (with standard
settings).
I don't know the reason, but nautilus is unuseable in list view, it needs ca 2
sec to open a directory. The other views work normal.
I removed BSM (note: I had installed it without root in ~/.themes, so the
clearlooks-engine should not be modified by it...), but problem still remains.

Workaround is to use another GTK-engine than clearlooks, or to avoid list mode.

Hey,

this is an old bug.

Could you please still reproduce this issue with newer nautilus version
like 3.4.2-1+build1 or 3.8.2-3 ?

thanks

Pedro

No problem with nautilus 3.12.2-1 (debian testing). I remember nautilus
3.4 (in wheezy) and 3.8 (which was previously in testing) were also
clean.

Simon

version: 3.4.2-1+build1

I'm closing this bug now since it seems to be fixed.

If you can still reproduce it feel free to reopen and provide more info.

thanks Simon,
regards
Pedro
