Dear Maintainer, After installing KDE (plasma window manager) instead gnome (with metacitry) I got this behavior: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pb85PVil2g0 After pressing maximize button window with terminal maximize and start resize itself to minimal possilble size one by one in time (like animation). Repeatable.
I have this error too. A number of people has described this problem: See for example: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=707664 http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=97326 The workarounds they describe works. Problem is for example that the controls in kde:s dialogs is localized which means that i as a swede has localized controls in swedish but theese workarounds is written in english. You also need to know about X11's window classes. I would assign this error to kWIN.
Dear Maintainer, When I start gnome-terminal in a xephyr window, It starts at normal size and then quickly shrinks to the smallest possible size. Same result when hotssh starts it in xephyr. fyi: mrxvt works fine in xephyr. workaround: set custom terminal size to anything too large to fit in your xephyr window. drag smaller as needed. ii xserver-xephyr 2:1.12.4-6+deb7u2 i386 nested X server
Dear Maintainer, fails as noted running in xephyr/kwin
