Hi Kartik, You currently own the NewsBlur ITP for Debian (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=647712). Is there perhaps something I can help out with? I'm also interested in getting NewsBlur packaged. Thanks! Jelmer
Just to keep the bug informed. NewsBlur has a bunch of dependencies that aren't strictly necessary and mainly useful because of the way in which upstream does their hosting. Two of these are raven and seacucumber, but there are a couple more. Unfortunately it looks like upstream isn't interested in carrying these. See: https://github.com/samuelclay/NewsBlur/pull/398#issuecomment-24201362 There are also a couple of libraries that are shipped with NewsBlur that are also present in Debian itself. I've uploaded the beginnings of a package to git://git.debian.org/users/jelmer/newsblur.git I've given up on this for the moment considering the number of dependencies that are not packaged in Debian yet. Cheers, Jelmer
retitle 647712 RFP: newsblur -- A visual feed reader with intelligence noowner 647712 tag 647712 - pending thanks Hi, A long time ago, you expressed interest in packaging newsblur. Unfortunately, it seems that it did not happen. In Debian, we try not to keep ITP bugs open for a too long time, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to refrain from packaging the software. This is an automatic email to change the status of newsblur from ITP (Intent to Package) to RFP (Request for Package), because this bug hasn't seen any activity during the last 12 months. If you are still interested in packaging newsblur, please send a mail to <control@bugs.debian.org> with: retitle 647712 ITP: newsblur -- A visual feed reader with intelligence owner 647712 ! thanks It is also a good idea to document your progress on this ITP from time to time, by mailing <647712@bugs.debian.org>. If you need guidance on how to package this software, please reply to this email, and/or contact the debian-mentors@lists.debian.org mailing list. Thank you for your interest in Debian,
