Hello!

All the text shown at the panel in vertical layout looks like there is an ampty
line under it, hence the text is shifted right and may be invisible when the
panel is thin (e.g. 24 pixels width). THis happens at least in ru_RU locale.

Rhetorical offtopic: why did someone break an excellent Gnome2 panel? It works
well for years. For those who itching to breake something, let go break the
#12309 bug.
