If I'm not mistaken, the Xen kernel doesn't support hibernation. Therefore
it's not possible to suspend/hibernate a system at the Dom0 level.

The reason why I'm filing this report is because the pm-is-supported
command returns misleading exit codes in this kind of setup.

For example, pm-is-supported --hibernate returns 0, meaning that the
hibernate state is available, but it's not. The same happens with the
--suspend option.

 From a hardware perspective, the exit codes are correct (the same computer
supports hibernate and suspend modes without problems when using a stock
kernel). However, if we consider the system as a whole (in this case the
hardware plus the kernel running on that hardware), then in this
particular case the return codes are wrong.

I don't know if the pm-utils package can be used for any other purpose in
this context. If there's no use for the package at the Dom0 level, perhaps
the control fields could be changed to conflict with the xen-linux-system*
package.

If adding a confict to the package definition seems too drastic, then
maybe the exit codes for pm-is-supported could be adjusted for this
particular case (or at least mention in the manpage that the output is
wrong when running the command on Dom0).
