Hello,
I easily freeeze with audacity; here is one of the easiest scenario leading
to freeze.
------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------
-1- launch audacity from gnome menu.
-2- from audacity, open wav file :
/usr/lib/openoffice/basis3.2/share/gallery/sounds/glasses.wav
-3- play-using the large PLAY button (it works)
-4- change play speed to minimum, then play (it works)
-5- play using the small play button besides the ruler enabling to change
speed - Audacity freezes.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is more :
-1- kill -9 the audacity process
-2- launch audacity again and don't accept "recover from crash".
-3- reopen the previous file.
The appearance of the sound file has changed (from the first opening): many
red lines (maximum amplitude reached) appear.
Nonetheless the file appears to have the same acces rights (read only) and
date in the file system.
ls -l /usr/lib/openoffice/basis3.2/share/gallery/sounds/glasses.wav
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 36270 26 mai 2010
/usr/lib/openoffice/basis3.2/share/gallery/sounds/glasses.wav
but main problem is freeze....
