I run an up to date wheezy box. I upgraded to the 3.2.2 version of evolution that just hit wheezy. Now my email is totally broken. I use imapx and connect to imap.aim.net. Checking for new mail just spins and never finishes. When I click on a folder I get the error: "Unable to retrieve message. Could not connect to imap.aim.net: Input/output error" I don't see an Inbox folder in the imap account. Before the upgrade this morning, mail was working fine. Except for the double Inbox folders which is an old bug.
I am able to send email from Evolution using my remote IMAP email account, and the sent email is stored in the "Sent Items" folder on the remote server. I determined this by viewing the folders on the remote server via a Web interface, which also confirms that the remote server is working. Bill West
I have the same problem. I also lost all the setup on my mailboxes, such as which fields to display in the index. I can access mail on the IMAP server on my local subnet. I cannot access mail at a remote IMAP server. I performed a full dist-upgrade on my box last week. Evolution was working fine. After dist-upgrade today, Evolution is broken. Bill West
This should have preceded my other post, but I think it wasn't accepted because I cut and pasted the subject from the original bug report, and it looked like a duplicate message.---------- I have the same problem. This problem is a result of the upgrade not picking up all the preferences settings from the previous version. Edit Preferences->MailAccounts->ReceivingOptions and uncheck the box under Folders the says "Show only subscribed folders". THis makes all the folders on the remote server appear. I don't even know what a "subscribed" folder is, or how to subscribe or unsubscribe to a folder, but I can see my inbox now. Bill West
