Dear Maintainer, when resuming, my ThinkPad T420s doesn't turn the backlight on. I already tried to add several quirks into /usr/lib/pm-utils/video-quirks/20-video-quirk-pm-lenovo.quirkdb (--quirk-vbe-post --quirk-s3-bios --quirk-s3-mode --quirk-vbestate-restore) but none of these worked. So you are using a integrated SandyBridge graphics card, not the NVIDIA Optimus hardware? Are you using KMS? What do you get when running "cat /proc/fb"? If not, you should be using KMS. With KMS no quirks are needed and a simple echo "mem" > /sys/power/state (as root) is sufficient. What happens, if you do that?

Yes, I don't have a dedicated GPU on this laptop. > Are you using KMS? Works perfectly without closing the lid. > What happens, if you do that? The laptop suspends and resumes just fine. It seems that the problem only occurs when closing the lid. Thanks, Felicitus
Dear submitter, as the package pm-utils has just been removed from the Debian archive unstable we hereby close the associated bug reports. We are sorry that we couldn't deal with your issue properly. For details on the removal, please see https://bugs.debian.org/1058701 The version of this package that was in Debian prior to this removal can still be found using https://snapshot.debian.org/. Please note that the changes have been done on the master archive and will not propagate to any mirrors until the next dinstall run at the earliest.
