Dear Maintainer,

when resuming, my ThinkPad T420s doesn't turn the backlight on. I already tried to add several quirks into /usr/lib/pm-utils/video-quirks/20-video-quirk-pm-lenovo.quirkdb (--quirk-vbe-post --quirk-s3-bios --quirk-s3-mode --quirk-vbestate-restore) but none of these worked.

Here's the output of lspci:

So you are using a integrated SandyBridge graphics card, not the NVIDIA
Optimus hardware?

Are you using KMS? What do you get when running "cat /proc/fb"?
If not, you should be using KMS.

With KMS no quirks are needed and a simple
echo "mem" > /sys/power/state
(as root) is sufficient.

What happens, if you do that?

Yes, I don't have a dedicated GPU on this laptop.

0 inteldrmfb

Also the kernel has: CONFIG_DRM_I915_KMS=y

Works perfectly without closing the lid.

The laptop suspends and resumes just fine. It seems that the problem
only occurs when closing the lid.

Thanks,
