Though one can maneuver it with the mouse so it is indeed pushed off the
screen, it would still be nice to have an
$ xpdf --no-sidebsr # or --no-table-of-contents
option one day, to zap it for certain documents conveniently via the
command line. (More flexible that way than via a config file too.)

Hi Danni,

there is no command line option for this, but you can configure a
keybinding for the toggleOutline command (or separate keys for
openOutline / closeOutline if you wish), which should do about the same.

Maybe there should be a command-line option to execute an arbitrary
config file command on startup? (Like -remote, but not remote...)

You mean those listed under COMMANDS in the xpdf manpage, that can be
bound to keys?

I think that would be a useful thing to have, and there's already -exec
- does that need to be limited to remote server windows, or can that be
made to apply to a newly started xpdf as well, once startup is complete
and the file is loaded?
