20060221 is available.  Maybe an update of the version in debian is in
order?

According to the changelog, the following features were added upstream:

2006-02-19 Manfred Paulus <manfred.paulus@googlemail.com>
    * option: added -C option for switching clipping facilities
    * option: added -O option for setting content overlap
    * output: make postscript functions out of read in
              page descriptions instead of copying the code
              for every output page
    * pages:  corrected sizes of ISO A and B formats

I haven't heavily tested the "new" version, though -- it's probably
worth making sure it produces reasonable output before bringing it
into debian.

Sound like a good idea, but I am unable to find it any more.  Any idea
where a new version can be found?

Just brushing up on this orphaned package and discovered that there is
no upstream available any more.
