Dear Maintainer,

I have Wheezy with Gnome 3.
It was a fresh installation and not an upgrade.
Gedit is sometimes freezing completely by opening a file and I cannot close it.
It happens 1-3 times a day, but there are some days without gedit freezing.

gedit amd gnome version:
# dpkg -l | grep gedit
ii  gedit                                3.2.6-1                        official text editor of the GNOME desktop environment
ii  gedit-common                         3.2.6-1                        official text editor of the GNOME desktop environment (support files)

# dpkg -l | grep gdm
ii  gdm3                                 3.0.4-4                        Next generation GNOME Display Manager

I have the same problem. It also occurs on saving an unsaved document.
Probably has to do with the file browser invocation?

Hi,

this is an old bug.

Could you please still reproduce this issue with newer gedit version like
3.14.0-3 or 3.16.2-1 ?

If so please provide more detailed info.
