Version: 11.0~a2+20120127042007-1 Severity: normal First of all, I must note that I use dual-stack system. Mostly, when I have IPv4-only connectivity, the bug doesn't show up that frequently. The problem arises when for some reason (weak wireless signal, for example), the resolver fails. After that, it seems like it blocks somewhere and is unable to resolve any address at all. Every other program works perfectly here. Also, quite often this is accompanied by extremely high CPU load: 10289 andrew 20 0 789M 422M 35664 S 107% 13.9 36:31.78 /usr/lib/iceweasel/firefox-bin Restarting Iceweasel usually helps.
src:iceweasel has been superseded by src:firefox-esr in version 45.0esr-1 in March 2016. Transitional packages to ease upgrades were provided in the wheezy, jessie, stretch and buster releases. The transitional packages have been removed finally before the bullseye release in August 2021. After regular security support for buster ended in August 2022 and LTS support ended in June 2024, I'm closing the remaining bug reports now. Andreas
