I upgraded from 10.0.4esr-3 to this version, and en.Wikipedia
disappeared from the drop down search engines. Since I was expecting
this to happen, I backed up the search.json; I've attached the
pre-upgrade version and the post-upgrade version.

Unfortunately, I can't reproduce with your data :(
If you downgrade to 10.0.4esr-3 and re-upgrade, does it happen again?
If it does, can you go to about:config, set "browser.search.log" to
true, retry, and paste the corresponding output? (you'll have to run
iceweasel from the command line to see the output)

src:iceweasel has been superseded by src:firefox-esr in version
45.0esr-1 in March 2016. Transitional packages to ease upgrades were
provided in the wheezy, jessie, stretch and buster releases. The
transitional packages have been removed finally before the bullseye
release in August 2021.
After regular security support for buster ended in August 2022 and LTS
support ended in June 2024, I'm closing the remaining bug reports now.
