Steps to reproduce on Wheezy: 1. Ensure that Gnome3 is configured to attach modal dialogs. 2. Ensure that Icedove is maximised. 3. Click on "Write" button to start a new email. 4. Click on "Attach" button to add an attachment. 5. Notice that the "Include an attachment" tooltip does not go away and that it obscures the Location text entry box. 6. Try clicking anywhere else within the compose window or file dialog. The tooltip does not go away. 7. Unmaximise the compose window and move it around. Notice that the tooltip is still visible. 8. The only way to make the tooltip disappear appears to be to move the mouse pointer over the main Icedove window. Expected results: The tooltip goes away as soon as the Attach button is clicked. Failing that it should go away all by itself after a short time.
Hi, Same problem here, but not only with the attachment dialog but also with spell-checking dialog, see attachments. Problem is very annoying since underlying buttons and text fields are not accessible until the dialog itself is closed. BTW, the tooltip is also visible on other desktops (see 2nd and 3rd screenshot), maybe it's a gnome problem, not iceweasel? Best, Jürgen Package: icedove Version: 10.0.12-1 Followup-For: Bug #687412
