Dear Maintainer,

When trying to download some extensions (.rar for example), the "Open with"
combo isn't populated. It just have the 'other' option, the one that opens the
file selector.

Clicking on that 'other' option populates the combo with "Archive Manager", the
default package for '.rar'. I can see it populates just after I cancel the file
selector.

That doesn't happen to other extensions, such as '.zip' for example, or plain
texts.

The problem doesn't seem to be upstream since I cannot reproduce the same on
Ubuntu for example, running the same Iceweasel version.

obs. I'm using Iceweasel from unstable..I can reproduce this bug since version
14 (the actual version when I started using Debian).

Just an update:

For some time now, the combo get populated for ".rar", but only with
gedit. Still no file-roller there.

src:iceweasel has been superseded by src:firefox-esr in version
45.0esr-1 in March 2016. Transitional packages to ease upgrades were
provided in the wheezy, jessie, stretch and buster releases. The
transitional packages have been removed finally before the bullseye
release in August 2021.
After regular security support for buster ended in August 2022 and LTS
support ended in June 2024, I'm closing the remaining bug reports now.
