disktype outputs an unreadable Volume name for an UDF disk I have. While KDE manages to designate the disk as "Civilization V", disktype outputs: One can see there are 12 blocks of characters, and some of these repeat - <6900> is repeated 3 times and clearly corresponds to the "i". This is definitely an encoding problem. I haven't tested with other UDF discs. Hi Filipus, I am the new disktype maintainer. Can you check if the file udf.c[1], dated 2009-04-05, solves the problem? If yes, I will add a patch to disktype. Thanks a lot for your attention. Cheers, Eriberto [1] http://disktype.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/disktype/disktype/udf.c?revision=1.6&view=markup
Hi Eriberto, The only difference with the current file is indentation, so... no, no improvement.

Hi, Eriberto. First of all, I'm sorry for the delay. I marked the email as important while I had a huge amount of pending work and I have started to review it just now. Anyway, I don't have access to a Debian develop-enabled computer to review the solution, and it will remain so for the next 7-10 days, so I think the best option should be check it for yourself. Thanks for contacting with me, Eriberto. Best regards, Juanma.--- Juan Manuel García Molina * juanma@superiodico.net * Nexus 5 El 13/09/2014 06:18, "Eriberto Mota" <eriberto@debian.org> escribió:
