With some applications, in my case recoll and xdg-open, the mimecache information
on pdfs, which for me is okular in the first place, is ignored
and instead the second .desktop entry is used.

According to

the problem is the dash in the entry.

I replaced the dash with a slash and it worked.
I am not sure if the entry or the interpretation of the entry is wrong.
