Dear Maintainer,

To reproduce this bug:
* Start palimpsest.
* Pick a drive, in my case a Seagate ST3750525AS (SATA).
* Click on 'SMART Data'.
* Click on 'Run Self-test'.
* Choose either the short or extended test and click on 'Run Self-Test'.

palimpsest then crashes with a segmentation fault. Syslog reports it as such:

May 16 16:57:39 amboise kernel: [1304027.929998] palimpsest[30659]: segfault at 0 ip 00007fe67b4fa2cf sp 00007fffaef08970 error 4 in libgdu-gtk.so.0.0.0[7fe67b4dc000+49000]

This happens whether I run palimpsest as root or in a user account.

Hi François,

can you reproduce this on current Debian testing or sid?

Cheers,

As far as I can tell palimpsest has been renamed to gnome-disks. So I
tested this with gnome-disks and did not get a crash. So it looks like
this is fixed in Debian Testing (details below).
