The AWX Web-Interface can be used to play and queue albums, and even
the volume can be set by clicking on the desired position, but
playback cannot be paused or forwarded.

Cursor movement through the remote control works.

However, the interface gets no feedback from XBMC and hence does not
display anything about what's currently playing.

Hi Martin,

Sorry, but AWXi is just an addon which can be installed from XBMC's
repository but they (and thus me in "XBMC from Debian") don't maintain
it.
I would have been happy to forward you to the right people maintaining
it, but the only information I found was that they are "MKay, Mizaki
et al".

I asked for contact info at upstream's bugtracker, they may be able to help:
