--- Please enter the report below this line. --- Upon suspend or hibernation the brigtness is set on minimum and can not be changed. Values in /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/max_brightness can be changed with Fn key, but it has no reaction to background illumination. With nvidia proprietary driver there are no such problems. Exactly same problem is described also here (supposedly solved): https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=726651 In attachment are some additional information about system. ._ _ _ _ | . _ |' _ | | |.-|| '|< || || (_) ------------------------ Debian Release: jessie/sid --- Package information. --- Depends (Version) | Installed =======================================-+-================== libc6 (>= 2.15) | 2.17-92 libdrm-nouveau2 (>= 2.4.34) | 2.4.45-3 libdrm2 (>= 2.4.17) | 2.4.45-3 libudev0 (>= 146) | 175-7.2 xorg-video-abi-12 | xserver-xorg-core (>= 2:1.12.3.901) | 2:1.12.4-6 Recommends (Version) | Installed ==============================-+-=========== libgl1-mesa-dri (>= 9.0) | 9.1.4-1 Package's Suggests field is empty.
This is a kernel problem. Did it work with older kernels, e.g. the one
in Wheezy?
And https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=39550 is an upstream
bug report on the issue. You may want to follow up there.
Cheers,
