Dear Maintainer,

When using the HDMI out of a Lenovo Ideapad Z585, _something_ will randomly decide to disable the output.

I'm not sure exactly what component's causing this, so I'm not sure I'm filing this properly. I'm running kde, so I'm including versions of various kde packages as I know kde tries to be clever about xrandr. Also I know modesetting is done in-kernel these days so I'm completely floored as to what's responsible.

It tends to happen more often when something screen/output/mode-switching related happens, such as switching between X sessions, when setting a new screen standby policy, but also when I come back to the machine after a period of inactivity - almost as though it was trying to turn the output back on as if it thought it was suspended (?).

When in this state, I'm still able to switch to other VTs and X sessions where the output is enabled, but I haven't found anything useful/interesting output to the xorg log or dmesg at the time of the problem.

I've actually managed to work around it for now by binding a custom kde shortcut to "xrandr --output HDMI-0 --auto" which will bring everything back. But clearly this is far from ideal - a typical desktop user would be totally stuck.

Help would be appreciated.
