The version of evolution that hit jessie on 8-27-2013 has several bugs.

1. when evolution is started, the screen turns totally black and then comes
back on.

2. when I click on "Check for Supported Types" on authentication type in the
Receiving Email tab for IMAP+, evolution crashes with a segmentation fault.

3. For my imapx account, evolution repeatedly ask for the authentication
password.  I enter what is the correct password but evolution keeps asking.
This is the error I get in the terminal for this when I start evolution from
the terminal:

(evolution:4286): camel-WARNING **: CamelIMAPXStore::authenticate_sync() set
its GError but then reported success

(evolution:4286): camel-WARNING **: Error message was: Failed to issue the
command


Evolution was working fine on my imapx account before the upgrade.
