Hi!

This game stores the config file (settings.txt) in the XDG_DATA_HOME
directory instead of XDG_CONFIG_HOME.

Thanks,
Guillem

Hi,

The future version will not use these files any more it will most likely
only use a database to store each users level data, achievements, etc. and
most likely recent window size and other display details (ie. user name)
will be treated as data and saved in the same database.

Would XDG_DATA_HOME be the right location for such database file?

Thanks,
Ireneusz Imiolek

Hi!

[ Ireneusz, when replying to bug reports here, please be aware that
the submitter does not get any notification by default, so you'll
have to either copy them explicitly or use the
NNNNN-submitter@bugs.debian.org address instead. I just found out
about your replies as I was crawling the web interface. :) ]

Yeah, I think so, because the ones you list here are either state or
history, and certainly not configuration.

For the user name, I'm wondering why not use the system information?

Thanks,
Guillem

Hi!

[ Guillem, thanks and sorry, I wasn't aware of that, I'll remember to
include the submitter's email manually. :) ]

That's good to see, because it's kind of changed already, still few
glitches to sort out. I've broken the last level history, and now I'm
finding it hard to find what I actually did to break it :)

This could probably be ok, but it's going to work in a slightly different
way soon. It will be possible to have more users using the game from one OS
user account ie. for school purposes, and the settings or rather state
will be saved for each of them.

Some screen shots of what I've been working on recently and the changes
available at the game's facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/pysiogame

Any feedback on any of the upcoming features more than welcome (based on
the screen shots - it still needs some time before release).

Thanks,
Ireneusz
