Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
Tried to play aduio stream with totem
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
Used Open Location and entered audio stream URL
   * What was the outcome of this action?
Nothing happened in totem but gvfsd-http started to download the stream
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
     Listening to audio stream

totem seems to be affected to bug by gvfsd-http. The audio stream starts to
download but totem does not play back any audio.

On this occation I want to report that gvfsd-http does not even stop the
download when totem is closed. Opening more than one audio stream in totem
starts to overload the network connection.

In addition to that I had to kill many gvfsd-http processes back in the days
because gvfsd-http must have a memory leak. I already sighted gvfsd-http
processes bigger than 1.5GB.

And as suggestion I would like to see as drop-down the lastly played audio
streams -- so one would not have to re-enter them all the time -- as done
underneath the Open File function.

I attached a screenshot of top where the gvfsd-http process is already seen as
twice-highest memory consuming, nearly after starting totem.

PS: The Syneascope visualisation in totem 3.8 rocks! :-)

Thank you very much!

Sincererly,

Adrian Immanuel KIESS
