Occasionally doing something innoccuous like switching folders will
cause a notification (in System Tray "Notification" widget) that says
"Resource KMail Folders is broken. This resource is now online" but
it's actually impossible to view any mail contents.  The KMail client
just says "Retrieving Folder Contents.  Please wait ..."  where the
mail body is usually displayed.  Waiting even 10 minutes doesn't help;
it must be hung somehwere.  And the folder names in KMail all turn
red.

Restarting KMail doesn't fix it.  I typically resort to rebooting.

When this happened just now, I logged out of KDE and the processes all went
away.  KMail is working again after logging in (no reboot this time).
