When I have two gnome-terminal windows open, after some time the cursor
in the inactive window starts blinking as well, looking as if both
windows were active.

The correct behavior obviously should be that the cursor in the inactive
window should look inactive.

This problem does not exist in other terminal emulators, such as lxterminal.

I am using Debian Wheezy, kernel 3.10 and 3.11

I will be happy to provide more information if required, or help with
troubleshooting the problem.
