Reducing severity because the whole system is not broken.

Presumably a desktop task was not selected; in which case this is
probably #694068.

Hi,

Nick Gawronski <nick@nickgawronski.com> wrote:
Now you are done with a static /etc/network/interfaces file.

Only in case you might want a flexible network management tool:
apart from network-manager, which is not usable for blind people,
there is also the wicd daemon for automatic network configuration, which
has an ncurses (text-based) client as user interface.

Greetings

As far as I can determine, documentation describing netcfg's behaviour
when writing /e/n/i at the end of the install is non-existant. It appears
to follow a principle of producing maximum surprise. I'll mention that
#709017 also has the same origin as this bug

Another text-based network management tool is ceni. It is maintained by
the same team which maintains Debian's wpasupplicant and is at

http://debian.tu-bs.de/project/aptosid/debian/pool/main/c/ceni/ceni_2.26_all.deb
