The upstream of this package has died roughly two years ago.
Subsequently the package has been removed from Debian. I've recently
stepped in as the upstream maintainer and would like to see AWN return
back to Debian and Ubuntu.

   Package name: avant-window-navigator
        Version: 0.4.2
Upstream Author: <several people>
Upstream Maintainer: Povilas Kanapickas <povilas@radix.lt>
            URL: https://github.com/p12tic/awn
License: Various for different parts of the program: GPL-2,
LGPL-2, CC-BY-SA 3.0
Description: Avant-window-navigator (Awn) is a MacOS X like panel
for the GNOME Desktop written in C. In addition to launchers that can
be dragged onto the bar, it features a taskbar that behaves similarly to
the Mac OSX dock. The window navigator uses the composite extension for
transparency and other effects.

Hi,

A long time ago, you expressed interest in packaging avant-window-navigator. Unfortunately,
it seems that it did not happen. In Debian, we try not to keep ITP bugs open
for a too long time, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to
refrain from packaging the software.

This is an automatic email to change the status of avant-window-navigator from ITP
(Intent to Package) to RFP (Request for Package), because this bug hasn't seen
any activity during the last 24 months.

If you are still interested in packaging avant-window-navigator, please send a mail to
<control@bugs.debian.org> with:

It is also a good idea to document your progress on this ITP from time to
time, by mailing <730676@bugs.debian.org>. If you need guidance on how to
package this software, please reply to this email, and/or contact the
debian-mentors@lists.debian.org mailing list.

Thank you for your interest in Debian,
