Dear Maintainer, I have been backing up files onto an external hard disk, using deja-dup, with no significant problems backing up. However, I recently needed to restore everything, and I initially managed to restore most of it, but some of the files later in the alphabet failed to restore. I think some of this was perhaps related to there being slightly bad wiring to the external hard drive which means that occasionally it would disconnect then reconnect, and deja-dup would stop restoring and would not start again. To start again I then tried to restore again from the beginning, which would be inconvenient enough, but now it has been failing to restore at all. Since I have changed many of the other files since I first restored, I have not been restoring into the original place (as was originally mostly successful), but have tried restoring either everything into a specific file, or restoring a specific file, by going into the desired folder in nautilus, right clicking, and selecting "Restore Missing Files...". Both possibilities have failed completely - luckily I restored most of the files, and the ones at the end of the alphabet are not too important, but it could have been much more serious, and I currently have little confidence in a backup, in the event that my computer broke.
