* Package name : carbonate Version : 0.2.0 Upstream Author : Scott Sanders * URL : https://github.com/jssjr/carbonate * License : MIT Programming Lang: Python Description : some primitive tools to help you manage your graphite clusters From the website: Graphite clusters are pretty cool. Here are some primitive tools to help you manage your graphite clusters. All of the tools support two common arguments; the path to a config file, and the name of the cluster. Using these tools alongside a config file that describes your graphite clusters you can build up scripts to manage your metrics. Some of the tools could easily be replaced with one-liners in shell, but exist here for convenience and readability. The goal is to provide fast, predictable utilities that can easily be composed into more advanced tooling. Included tools: carbon-hosts Return the addresses for all nodes in a cluster carbon-lookup Lookup where a metric lives in a carbon cluster carbon-list List the metrics this carbon node contains carbon-sieve Given a list of metrics, output those that belong to a node carbon-sync Sync local metrics using remote nodes in the cluster whisper-aggregate Set aggregation for whisper-backed metrics this carbon instance contains whisper-fill Backfill datapoints from one whisper file into another
hi, a new upstream version has been released, I'm willing to sponsor the upload if you are still looking for one. AFAICT the package hasn't been uploaded yet.

You can find the current status there: http://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-graphite/packages/carbonate.git/ We are already in the freeze for jessie so I didn't put that at my highest priority. But I have it definitely on my ToDo list. Thanks, Andreas
Hi Andreas, nice! Should be fairly easy to add 0.2.2 too. I've requested access to pkg-graphite so can commit there if that's okay. (pkg-graphite CC'd) Yeah that's true, however we can upload to jessie-backports. That's what I'm planning to do with carbon-c-relay (#768983). HTH, filippo

indeed, thanks for that! BTW I've requested access to pkg-graphite project a while back so I can help out with carbonate and others possibly, any news on that? thanks, filippo
