The fullscreen option does not work with both methods:
 - Settings > Fullscreen;
 - F11 (marked as shortcut in the GUI).

No errors are displayed if the game is executed from a terminal.

Soon after this bug was filed, upstream removed the fullscreen option
since it was broken. I have filed a bug upstream to request that it be
added back.
