Hi Zlatan, so how is this related to Spotify? Not at all, it's just streaming music? (And what has it to do with poverty? And with poor men especially?) cheers, Holger
You're right that the description needs updating, but "Poor Man's Spotify" is the upstream name of the software. (it was renamed from pms to mps to avoid aclash with something else; however internally it still uses pms a lot and creates e.g. .pms-config, pms-playlist, pms-debug...) It does look a bit dodgy though. It appears to use http://pleer.com/ as a source which looks like a copyright-violation website at first glance.

retitle 738839 RFP: mps -- Poor Man's Spotify - Search and stream music noowner 738839 tag 738839 - pending thanks Hi, A long time ago, you expressed interest in packaging mps. Unfortunately, it seems that it did not happen. In Debian, we try not to keep ITP bugs open for a too long time, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to refrain from packaging the software. This is an automatic email to change the status of mps from ITP (Intent to Package) to RFP (Request for Package), because this bug hasn't seen any activity during the last 12 months. If you are still interested in packaging mps, please send a mail to <control@bugs.debian.org> with: retitle 738839 ITP: mps -- Poor Man's Spotify - Search and stream music owner 738839 ! thanks It is also a good idea to document your progress on this ITP from time to time, by mailing <738839@bugs.debian.org>. If you need guidance on how to package this software, please reply to this email, and/or contact the debian-mentors@lists.debian.org mailing list. Thank you for your interest in Debian,
Hello: I wanted to state that upstream link [1] is no longer valid. [1] https://github.com/np1/mps[1] May this one be closed? Best Regards,-------- [1] https://github.com/np1/mps
The repository in this RFP no longer exists, so I am closing this RFP. In case the software is developed somewhere else please open a new RFP. Thorsten
