#748888 KMail does not start - searches personal information

When I start KMail, it shows in Polish "Uruchamianie modułu zarządzania informacjami osobistymi" (Personal information management service is starting) but nothing starts.

The problem persists for more, than half year and makes KMail not possible to use any more, even, if there have been many hundreds of various upgrades of many other files.

Perhaps it is testing branch, yes, it is free and free, but such adventures stopped my upgrades at work on level of Lenny and KDE 3.5...

What may I do with this to make my e-mail possible to use again? I do not see anything similar in the Debian bug tracking system.

Hey,

this "Personal information management service is starting" is akonadi starting
up. If this does not work. Than we need the output of the akonadi start:

$akonadi restart
