Dear Maintainer,

I'm am using pure debian testing repos and I have actually installed package
version 0.81.2, but also the previous version 0.81.1 was affected .
I tried removing configuration files in /root/.synaptic but it wasn't effective
..

I have the same problem on a fresh jessie install.  Synaptic just
freezes after I click on Filters from the Settings window.  Nothing
happens no matter how long I wait.  The synaptic window is not
responsive at all.  Even the 'x' close window button does not do
anything.  I use xkill to kill the window.  When I run synaptic in a
terminal, no errors are given in the terminal when it freezes.
