I installed the LXDE flavour of Debian Testing:

The desktop fails opening my usb memory stick, encrypted in another
computer with gnome disk utility (LUKS encription).

It happens because the package "cryptsetup" isn't installed by default
with this iso. If I install this package the desktop succeeds opening
the encripted memory stick.

With my Gnome and my XFCE desktop in Debian Testing this package is
installed by default.

I suggest that the lxde metapackage installs cryptsetup by default.

I don't see any dependency on the tasksel side (it provides task-* for
various desktop environments, among other things), so I guess this
should probably be handled in the lxde desktop environment directly.

I'm adding the LXDE maintainers to the recipients to get their opinion
on that topic. Feel free to “steal” this bug report away from tasksel if
you agree it should be fixed by a change in e.g. src:lxde-metapackages.
