Please also include as much relevant information as possible.

This package provides new mono-linear font with 7 weights for Devanagari
script, It provides new font for Devanagari script which is used by
multiple Indian languages as script. Currently there are very limited
FOSS fonts for devanagari.

Package will be maintained as part of Debian-IN (Debian India) team.

Hi,

A long time ago, you expressed interest in packaging fonts-ekmukta. Unfortunately,
it seems that it did not happen. In Debian, we try not to keep ITP bugs open
for a too long time, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to
refrain from packaging the software.

This is an automatic email to change the status of fonts-ekmukta from ITP
(Intent to Package) to RFP (Request for Package), because this bug hasn't seen
any activity during the last 12 months.

Thank you for your interest in Debian,

The font source is only available in the FontLab Studio vfb format.
There is no DFSG-free software for building a font from it or converting it to another format.

So this cannot be part of Debian. You can ask upstream to convert the font and work with a
different format as source (e.g. UFO).

You can compile this with vfblib now.
