Dear Maintainer,

I used the filemanager to look at a PDF file (version 1.7)
on hard disk.
I was using lxde.

The filemanager opened gimp, to view the PDF file.
I would prefer that would open okular, by default.

So, I installed okular, and re-booted the computer.
the filemanager again opened gimp to view a PDF file.

Thank you very much for maintaining PCManFM.

with best regards from
Richard Betham

I believe this issue does not happen in latest versions of pcmanfm. And
if it does then it might be issue with your MIME database. In any case
the version 0.9.10-3 is pretty much outdated and unsupported. I would ask
you to install newer version. Since you are using Debian stable, add the
wheezy-backports repository and install newer pcmanfm using it, please.
Then test if issue still happens and add your info into the report.

I believe I know what the problem is. You have few applications that can
open PDF files but you never chose preferred one therefore system choose
semi-random one for you (the most probably in alphabetic order which is
obviously gimp, not okular). Just right-click on the file, then click on
Properties in the context menu, and choose Okular in the 'Open with' list
then close that Properties window. I think this will fix your issue. Let
us know if something is still wrong. Thank you very much.

Closing in favor of #525077 since the BTS won't let me merge them.
