Mention if parec is the same as parecord, and maybe pamon too.

Anyway, there are several aliases that seem to map to only two or three
different things. Make sure they are all explicitly mapped out at the
top of the man page please.

I'm not sure what you mean. The man pages for paplay, parecord, pamon,
pacat, parec are all the same and list all the programs at the
beginning. How would you propose they be mapped?

I don't know how they map. Perhaps those who do could add a clear
statement at the beginning of the man page as to how they are all
related to each other.

Ok I see. They are all the same program. The invocation name just
changes the default behavior: parec will record, paplay will play,
etc. Patches to enhance the documentation are welcome.
