Dear Maintainer,

the abook page lists a vCard patch from 2008. See
for more details. I have no experience with that patch though.

Maybe, somebody wants to import his/her addressbook from Google or Owncloud.

I am aware of "pycarddav". But a simple convert from time to time might be a
nice to have.
