Dear Maintainer, my monitor is connected via DisplayPort (LG 27EA83 monitor, NVidia GTX750Ti card). If the monitor is powered up during BIOS initialization, everything works fine. If I turn on the monitor only at a later point, while GRUB is already active, the monitor is not detected. The system seems to start alright, but I can't see what I am doing. My previous monitor was attached via VGA, that could be turned on and off any time I wanted without influencing the function. Grub should use a monitor that shows up later, even if it is attached via DisplayPort. Especially if there is no other monitor present (PC system). Thanks for your efforts. Michael Below
