lda implements latent Dirichlet allocation (LDA) using collapsed Gibbs sampling.
LDA is the most familiar "topic model". Topic models are unsupervised models
useful for analyzing large collections of unlabeled text.

lda has over 6,000 average monthly downloads on the Python package index. There
are no other tested Python packages that implement LDA using Gibbs sampling (the
algorithmic gold standard in this case).

Hi,

A long time ago, you expressed interest in packaging python-lda. Unfortunately,
it seems that it did not happen. In Debian, we try not to keep ITP bugs open
for a too long time, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to
refrain from packaging the software.
