Dear Maintainer,

on StackExchange sites I cannot navigate using hotkeys.
Closing buffer with q does not work, C-x k <Ret> works.

I think this is due to StackExchange mode being loaded.
StackExchange mode thus makes StackExchange unusable.

I find that pretty ironic.

Hi Nils,

You can. You just have to prefix them with Ctrl-Z. (I know, because I
ran into the very same case, too. :-)

Back then I asked on IRC and got an answer quite quickly. But it's
also documented on e.g.
http://conkeror.org/PageModes?highlight=%28C-z%29

I though must admit that neither
chrome://conkeror-help/content/help.html nor
chrome://conkeror-help/content/tutorial.html mention this keybinding.

So from my point of view it's a pure documentation issue. (It's a
feature, not a bug! ;-)

why or how. I think that stackexchange-mode should not be on by default
or it should be the other way around – that keys for stackexchange-mode
should be reachable by some prefix, e.g. C-z.

That's more the point.

I think that suggestion is sane.

I recently used StackExchange sites with Conkeror from Unstable for
several hours and I indeed forgot the C-z prefix quite often. I
haven't thought about disabling the StackExchange-Mode but about
learning StackExchange's keybindings. But disabling it would indeed be
easier for less intensive StackExchange users.

Will talk with upstream if that should be changed also upstream.

So we actually have too seperate issues there. The missing
documentation for C-z and the indeed key-binding-wise very greedy
StackExchange-Mode.

That would be a more general thing which applies to all page modes, so
it would be a rather invasive change.
