Dear Maintainer, I got on a Thinkpad T42p a black and white stripes pattern after starting a video with vlc. In the background wine was running, i.e. for the system that was pretty much load. I still could log into the system using ssh and send this bugreport (before reboot). If there is anything else I could provide, please let me know. Many thanks, Rainer
Hi, I have hit this issue again. This time it was after shortly after a resume from suspend. I could still login via ssh. Restarting the X server (/etc/init.d/kdm restart) did not change anything. Thus I think it is rather a kernel/driver related issue than an X server related issue. Since the system does not hang after the crash, I could try to get some more debug data, when I have next time physical access to the system. Thanks, Rainer
Hi! I have also run into this issue a couple of times now. Although I’m running an lenovo t500, so it is also the radeon driver, but a different card. output of lspci: 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] RV635/M86 [Mobility Radeon HD 3650] I would be glad to help debugging it, just help me to do it! =) cheers, Dieter
Hi, with the latest jessie version I do not see this bug anymore. Dieter, do you still hit it? If not, I suggest to close it and reopen, in case we hit it again. Kind regards Rainer
Hi! Yes, it does seem to be more stable now, we should close the bug! :) Best regards, Dieter
