The Debian maintainers may well know better, but I observe that the latest
upstream diff is dated 2012/10/14, so perhaps it’s worth updating to then?
(There were a bunch more changes in 2009 after the version currently
packaged in Debian, then just one diff in each of 2010 and 2012.)

This is just to let you know that mgp is orphaned in Debian, meaning
it has no maintainer (see #509644).

If you want to see mgp issues addressed, you could volunteer to be the
new maintainer.
