I request an adopter for the grok package. I no longer use it, so it would be nice for it to have a maintainer that does. The package description is: The grok program can parse log data and program output. You can match any number of complex patterns on any number of inputs (processes and files) and have custom reactions. . Grok is simple software that allows you to easily parse logs and other files. With grok, you can turn unstructured log and event data into structured data.
Stig - I'd be interested in adopting this package. I use Grok not infrequently and would be happy to help. - Micah
Hi, Is there any news about the ownership of this package? I tried to reach Micah directly but was unable to, so I write to this bug to reach a grater audience. I have a co-maintained package which is depends on the grok package so I would like to see this package in a good shape but I do not use it myself. And therefore I'm not sure it would be a great idea to take over the package but if this is needed to let the bugs fixed I would do it.
This package is still up for adoption. To take over, just do an upload with a new Maintainer: field in debian/control and close this bug. The packaging repository is at https://salsa.debian.org/debian/grok/
