Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation?
Booting up; now happening about once in four times. One reads that:
[ Cylon eye ] A start job is running for Enable support for additional executable binary formats (3h 7min 57s / no limit)
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
Discovered that I can ssh in (when at home) and so I collected the
information below.
Alternatively I have pressed ^C on the console and/or CtrlAltDel and/or
the power button.
* What was the outcome of this action?
Sometimes, the Cylon eye freezes and the clock stops counting up
(or sometimes neither of these).
Regardless, I have to hard reset eventually.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
Some sort of error message and perhaps a recovery mode login,
or else some sort of closedown.
A secondary observation: logging in over the network via ssh takes much
longer than usual, as does then executing /bin/su -
