When installing a fresh Debian 8.1, it does install and the laptop does
work and well, unless when docked in a Dell port replicator..
Booting when docked causes the laptop to hang with errors:

[    10.262858] nouveau E[    PDISP][0000:01:00.1] 02:0006:0344: no bios dp
data

Same setup worked smoothly on Wheezy

Spec:
Dell Latitude E6400 bios revision A03
NVIDIA G68M Quadro NVS 160m rev a1



BTW: Attempting to submit a bug report in reportbug failed with an SMTP
error.
