Hello,

Search in Synaptic Package Manager is not working as expected when the descriptions contain Latin diacritics (accents). Synaptic Package Manager seems unable to tell that "é" is just a lower-case variant of "É".

For example, the description of gparted in French is "Éditeur de partition". If one searches "Éditeur de partition", gparted appears. If one searches "éditeur de partition" (lower-case "é"), gparted doesn't appear.
